I appreciate the human and artistic qualities of the Master Vito Palumbo, a young composer whose musical abilities are accompanied by a serious and thorough technical preparation. His artistic creativity stems from constant effort of imagination and deep emotional sensitivity. We are faced with a musician who deserves the accolades obtained so far (even internationally) in the artistic field.
His music is diverse, open, unbiased and of great beauty, with a personal and honest writing. For me, Vito Palumbo is one of the most important composers of his generation.
Vito is an outstanding composer who has composed several works for me and my wife, harpsichordist Anna Paradiso. The concerto for recorder and large orchestra will take in September in Gävle, Sweeden, and it will recorded in early 2016.
Vito Palumbo’s music brings beauty and quality to the world of contemporary music.
Vito has a Schnittke like construction in his Concerti - of which he is a consummate Master. His contemporary use of classical forms, large and small, with Henze-like breath, marks him as a very important figure for the future of contemporary music.
